Napoli star Jorginho has admitted he is an admirer of the Premier League amid speculation that both Manchester United and Liverpool are battling for his signature.

The 26-year-old has made 153 appearances for Napoli since joining the club back in 2014 and an impressive 2017-18 campaign has put England’s top sides on red alert.

Brazilian-born Jorginho started for Italy against England on Tuesday night and put in an accomplished performance as Lorenzo Insigne salvaged a draw for the visitors at the death.

Arsenal have also been linked with Jorginho and England’s elite will have been impressed with the midfielder’s display at Wembley. Asked if he was a fan of the Premier League after Italy’s draw, he told Football Italia: "Yes, very much!"

Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, urged United to make a move for the midfielder earlier this month. "My client is a good kid, he is focused on fighting for the Scudetto with his club and plays for one of the top national teams in the world," he said.
