Liverpool are being linked with a move for Porto striker Moussa Marega but they may face a battle with Tottenham for his signature.

The 25-year-old has shone this season whilst on loan at Vitoria Guimaraes with 10 goals in just eight games and this has brought him to the attention of the Premier League's big boys.

A host of other Premier League sides are said to be interested as well as the Reds and Spurs but the buy-out clause in his deal will put a block on any move.

The Mali international is rated at £6m but the buy-out clause is said to be £36m and at that money there will be no takers.

On the face of it Liverpool are well off up front with summer signing Sadio Mane fitting in well alongside Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge.

A move for Marega seems unlikely, with such an array of talent in the attack department at Anfield.
