He was renowned as a no-nonsense, tough-tackling defender during his playing career – but could Jamie Carragher have also made it as a singer?

Well, according to his former teammate Patrik Berger, yes he could.

The Czech lifts the lid on the fellow members of the late 1990s/early 2000s dressing room in tonight’s edition of LFC Later.

Berger discusses the most skilled players he operated alongside, as well as who the best and worst dancers were – and judges their singing abilities.

On the most melodic, he says: “It could be me… but I think Carra was good. Carra was a good singer. When we were on the coach, when there was a good song, he was always singing. I think he could be a good singer.”

The ‘Teammates’ feature - which you can watch free above - is part of a bumper-packed show, that also includes comedian and lifelong Liverpool fan Russell Howard on the sofa alongside Reds legend Terry McDermott.
