Almost 6,000 local young people have participated in a range of fun and energetic activities this summer thanks to the Liverpool FC Foundation.

Multi-sports sessions, football camps and family events were held across Merseyside throughout the school holidays, providing a fun and safe environment for children to stay active and entertained during the summer break.

Andrea Cooper, head of the LFC Foundation, said: “It can be difficult to find ways to keep children amused for the whole six-week holidays – our camps and programmes are an ideal way to do that.

“It’s really important that young people maintain a healthy lifestyle – both physically and mentally – and all of our activities allow them to do so in a friendly and safe setting. They’re also a great place to socialise or make new friends.

“We’re delighted that so many people have come along over the course of the summer to enjoy all of our different events and programmes.”
