Reds legends take part in soccer clinics in Sydney
Liverpool legends Craig Johnston, Gary McAllister and Jason McAteer took part in a series of soccer clinics at Ultimate Soccer in Sydney on Sunday.
Young people aged eight to 16 attended the event through Football United, The Reagan Milstein Foundation and the Sydney Official LFC Supporters’ Branch.
The participants were put through their paces in drills led by LFC coaches and also enjoyed a meet and greet opportunity with the trio of former Reds players.
McAllister said: “We’ve had a brilliant two days here meeting lots of kids and having a kickabout with them.
“Craig, Jason and I have been welcomed with open arms and I hope the kids have learned some new skills from the Liverpool coaches. We’d like to thank Ultimate Soccer for hosting us and all the kids and parents who came over the past two days.”
The club is in Sydney ahead of the first team’s post-season friendly against Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday May 24.
