U18s confirm dates for Premier League Cup ties
Liverpool have confirmed the dates for their three U18 Premier League Cup ties.
Steven Gerrard’s side will face Middlesbrough, West Ham United and Sunderland once in Group D, with the winner of the section progressing to the tournament’s quarter-finals.
The two best runners-up in the six overall groups will also claim a place in the last eight, with the format then becoming a knockout system in one-off ties.
The date for the home league fixture with Manchester City has also been confirmed. Gerrard's charges will host City at the Kirkby Academy on Tuesday November 28, with kick-off set for 7pm BST.
Confirmed U18 Premier League Cup dates
Saturday September 16 - Middlesbrough (H), 12.30pm at the Kirkby Academy.
Saturday November 4 - West Ham United (A), 11am at Little Heath Training Ground.
Saturday December 2 - Sunderland (H), 12.30pm at the Kirkby Academy.
